About Stephen

Stephen received his BA in English from the University of Maryland where he also minored in Jewish Studies and received a scholars citation in environmental science.  He currently resides in northern New Jersey after moving there from Long Island where he completed his JD at Touro Law School.

Combining a love for technology and law Stephen studied cyberlaw and cybercrime in addition to intellectual property.  While still in law school he wrote an article about the anti-plagiarism service Turnitin and the copyright infringement lawsuit filed against it.  The article won first place in the Nathan Burkan Memorial Writing Competition and was published in the Touro Law Review.

Before joining WiredTrust as an attorney Stephen worked in Long Island for a plaintiff's foreclosure firm.  Between college and law school Stephen was responsible for developing and writing the functional specifications for a new time and billing system to be used by Net@Work, a Manhattan business consultancy and technology solutions provider.  Previously, Stephen volunteered as an EMT in Israel and worked at Northwestern University's material science and engineering department calibrating their three-dimensional atom probe.

In his free time Stephen enjoys reading about physics, military history, and computers.  It is a poorly kept secret that Stephen is also an avid fan of Apple computers.
