In this section we want to share some of our knowledge with you by offering a range of information, tools and data back to the online community.

Data Formats

Having problems accessing files with an 'x' extension like .docx and .pptx?
These are the file formats new to Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007. Microsoft have provided an update to enable users with Office 2000, XP and 2003 to open, edit, print and save Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents created and saved in the new Office 2007 format.

Word DocumentWord Documents
Although this is a standard format, to view these files as they were intended to be seen, you will need (minimum), if you do not have Microsoft Word, the Word 97/2000 Viewer, which is free software for viewing Word 97 and Word 2000 documents (DOC) files.

PPT FilePowerPoint Presentations
To view these files you will need (minimum) PowerPoint Viewer 97 which is free software for viewing Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) files, even if you don't have Microsoft PowerPoint.
